Are you unsure of what to expect in a P$ Experience private? Or maybe your struggling to find the right shoes or outfit to wear?


Then this is the page to prepare you for your private session. If you haven’t already, make sure to book a private by emailing, or Direct messaging the instructor you wish to train with.

PREPARING FOR YOUR PRIVATE SESSION

• A great way to prepare you for your session is to stretch as much as possible leading up to your private. Basic stretching including arms, legs and back, will better prepare your body for P$ Experience training.

• Depending on your training style make sure to find sneakers or heels that are comfortable and have support for your feet when dancing.

• SNEAKERS: it’s best to have a light shoe that’s flexible and made for athletic activities. The more you train the more options you will find comfortable while dancing.

• HEELS: I recommend investing in professional dance heels, for more support, plus there’s so many different styles to choose from. If your on a budget I highly recommend searching through Amazon.

WHAT TO WEAR

“BE COMFORTABLE”


That is the #1 rule when picking clothes to dance in. You 100% want to be comfortable. Most of the time we see dancers in super baggy clothes for hiphop classes and lingerie for heels classes but don’t let the media choose for you. Whatever makes YOU feel your best and most comfortable is what you should wear ALWAYS! Don’t let anything pressure you into dressing a certain way, ALL styles and vibes are welcome especially in a

P$ Experience class/session 🌟


• Water

• Dancing shoes/heels

• Kneepads *to protect you from floor work*

• Extra pair of clothes *just in case*

• Deodorant/perfume/cologne

• Good vibes


WHAT TO BRING

WHAT TO EXPECT IN

PRIVATE SESSION

1. STRATEGIZE


• First time privates usually start with a deep/fulfilling conversation, where we will discuss the training plan, our mission, and goals.


2. DEEP STRETCH/ CONDITIONING


• Teacher will lead a deep stretch, that you will learn to memorize, in order to continue your stretching even after your sessions. We will also condition you with an intense short workout to improve muscle strength, endurance, & efficiency.


3. ACROSS THE FLOORS


• Across the floors is when the teacher forms lines to go over how to do basic foundations, footwork, technique, where you will also learn short combos that will help you when learning the main choreography.


4. LEARN CHOREOGRAPHY


• You will learn choreography more intimately with your teacher who will then be able to break down and go at your dance levels pace.


5. SPLIT INTO GROUPS


• When the teacher splits up the session and has every person(s) run the dance to provide more space to dance, catch your breath, get water and take turns to really execute the choreography.


6. GOAL RUSH


• When the teacher gives students 3 different goals to focus on when running the dance for 3 rounds. Very helpful for all levels of dancers who are really training to grow.


7. END OF SESSION


• say your goodbyes, thank you’s, network with other dancers, take some fun photos/videos with your teacher to remember the experience of a lifetime.
